National Heater Shops provides some of the best home dehumidifiers available. We supply from leading brands such as Ecor Pro, Ebac, Woods, Fral, Master, etc. Our range of personal dehumidifiers is suitable for every room of your home, whether you have a house, flat, bungalow, or apartment. You can have an appliance in the bedroom, bathroom, garage, laundry room, loft, or basement. In addition, we can offer a suitable model to help you control humidity and combat damp and excess moisture.
Why do you need a dehumidifier? The ideal indoor humidity level should be between 30% to 50%. Using one at home is a quick, easy, and practical way to control high humidity and remove moisture from the air. When you trap excess moisture inside, it can condense on surfaces. It can make the air feel sticky and uncomfortable. After a while, damp can result in mildew, mould, and musty smells. It can even cause paint and wallpaper to peel from your walls and result in structural damage.
High humidity, damp, and mould aggravate your allergies. Unfortunately, these conditions also create a welcome environment for insects. Some of these issues are less noticeable in the year's warmer months. For example, you are more likely to have windows open so that fresh air can help ventilate your home. However, cold and wet weather can quickly wreak havoc if the problem is not dealt with properly.
Small, domestic machines are also suitable for other spaces like caravans, static caravans, motorhomes, and more.
Our domestic range includes free-standing appliances with modern and discreet designs. We have more robust models suitable for basements, garages, attics, and sheds. We also have models that you can install with ducting for whole-house dehumidification.
We sell refrigerant dehumidifiers, which are sometimes called 'compressor dehumidifiers'. They take in damp air and pass it through a refrigerated element. The temperature of the vapour in the air is lowered below its dew point to condense into a liquid. The water then drips into a collection tank or drains away via a drainage outlet. Most refrigerant models are ideal for the average to warm temperatures of around 5℃ - 40℃.
We also supply desiccant dehumidifiers, which are more effective in colder temperatures. They use a desiccant material that absorbs moisture like a sponge. Internal fans draw humid air into the machine and expel dry air. Meanwhile, moisture vents away separately as a vapour via a wet air exhaust outlet. Some desiccant models can even work efficiently in temperatures as low as -20℃. They are effective in more challenging areas. You can use them for cold basements, attics, outbuildings, renovation sites, and more.
It is important to understand your problem to get the best resolution. For example, you might need a portable unit with a decent water tank capacity while in a workshop. Alternatively, you might need a more permanent solution with a high extraction rate and continuous drainage. Often, homeowners need a unit with an air filter and laundry mode for drying clothes because they do not have a tumble dryer or garden. You have to get the right equipment, or your problems might not disappear.
