Evaporative cooling has been around for centuries. Learn how harnessing nature’s natural phenomenon is providing effective cooling in industrial spaces, as well as protection against bacteria and viruses, including Covid-19.

Concerns with HVAC safety

As a result of the global Covid-19 Pandemic, people have become more aware of the safety concerns with cooling systems in large communal spaces, such as offices, meeting and waiting rooms.

Suspicious looking vents in the corner of a room don’t bode well for those trying to socially-distance, with many old air conditioning units recycling the air, and therefore spreading bacteria.

Evaporative coolers are different. Installed usually in a room, or close to the outdoors, they can provide any indoor space with fresh outdoor air while cooling it at the same time!

Evaporative Coolers

Evaporative Coolers add moisture to the air in order to cool it. Air conditioning units are unable to do this, as they dry the air whilst cooling it. The increased humidity that evaporative coolers provide makes it more difficult for viruses to spread around buildings.

A great advantage of an evaporative cooler is that they are still effective in open environments, meaning they can prevent the spread of viruses. Wide open doors do not affect the operations, with studies showing that Covid-19 is must more common in enclosed spaces. Evaporative coolers are the ideal solution for factories and large warehouses.

How Does Evaporative Cooling Work?

Evaporative coolers use the natural process of evaporation to create a fresh flow of cooler air.

An inbuilt water pump runs water through a set of cooling pads.

A fan draws hot air in over cooler pads and moisture evaporates into the air. This evaporation process cools the temperature of the air.

This cooler and more humid air is then blown out of the front of the machine.

The Benefits of UV Lights For Virus Protection

Evaporative coolers are great for creating safe and comfortable working conditions. Since the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, Master Climate Solutions has designed a new range evaporative coolers fitted with UV Lamps. The UV lamps are able to kill any viruses and bacteria in the water used to cool the air.

A well-looked after system can transform a working space reducing the risk of virus spread across employees.

The UVC radiation in the Master systems destroys bacteria and viruses, making it impossible for them to reproduce. This prevents bacteria from entering the cool air being dispersed across the building.

Ideal Evaporative Cooling Solutions Offered by Master

National Heater Shops is proud to be a supplier Master evaporative cooling systems.

There are three models in the range, in different sizes, with different water tank capacities. The Master BC 121 features an 80 litre tank, the Master BC 221 features a 120 litre tank and the Master BC 341 features a 200 litre tank.

All installed with the latest bacteria destroying UV lamps, controlled by a remote, these industrial evaporative cooling machines are ideal for use in large workspaces like workshops, factories and warehouses, keeping employees cool and giving you peace of mind.
