Loft Humidity Control Prevents Damage and Protects Belongings
Roofs are usually prone to damage due to excess moisture. This is due to their structure being composed of wooden beams, rafters and sometimes insulation. Managing the humidity within a loft can help to preserve the structural integrity and reduce the risk of long-term damage to any stored materials or items.
At National Heater Shops, the dehumidifiers we sell effectively reduce condensation build-up and prevent issues relating to damp conditions.
A damp or humid loft can lead to damage to internal structures and stored contents. Issues such as mould, rust or the degrading of structural elements such as wooden support beams.
Ideally, a loft’s relative humidity should be between 50-60% to prevent mould or moisture related damage from occurring. A loft’s humidity can be affected by its insulation, whether it is occupied, and what time of year it is.

Loft Dehumidifiers For Homeowners and Property Professionals
Loft dehumidifiers are suitable for residential settings and light commercial and property management contexts. These dehumidifiers can keep belongings safe from potential elemental damage, whilst also having financial benefits by extending lifespan of roofing materials and preventing insulation replacements.
We sell a wide variety of trustworthy dehumidifiers from some of the most reputable brands on the market such as Master, Ecor Pro and Air Conditioning Centre.
Our range features both desiccant dehumidifiers and compressor dehumidifiers. Desiccant dehumidifiers, such as the Ecor Pro DH800+ Desiccant Dehumidifier - 220v are capable of operating in colder environments, whilst compressor dehumidifiers, such as the Air Conditioning Centre DLUX-20 Portable Compressor Dehumidifier handle warm environments easier.

Efficient, Cost Effective Loft Moisture Control
Loft dehumidifiers are designed to operate as efficiently as possible in enclosed roof spaces, whilst using minimal energy. Removing excess moisture can reduce risk of damage to stored items or structure, which leads to less need for repairs or renovation. A vast majority of dehumidifiers we supply are also CE approved, and are therefore rated as being compliant with EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements.
Loft Dehumidifier FAQs
Why does my loft suffer from condensation?
Lofts often suffer from condensation as a result of warm air rising from living quarters. Due to the limited ventilation often present in lofts, the warm air leads to condensation which may then require a dehumidifier to remove.
Will a loft dehumidifier reduce mould?
A loft dehumidifier can prevent mould from growing, as it removes the environment which it needs to grow. It does not, however, remove existing mould.
How often does the water tank need emptying?
This greatly depends on the humidity level and unit capacity. Some models can be ducted outside to allow for continuous draining.
