Ideal Heating Flexible Hose 500mm 236909
The Ideal Heating 500mm Flexible Hose 236909 is designed for use on Ideal Logic Air monobloc air source heat pumps. It acts as the main hydraulic link between the outside heat pump and the pipework to make connection easier and help ensure the heat pump's performance does not become compromised over time.
The thick-walled thermal insulation gives you effective protection against excessive heat loss over external pipe runs while suppressing mechanical vibration from the outdoor unit. It features a 28mm (1") bore diameter with an overall dimension of 500mm, providing excellent hydraulic flow rates to give a lower pressure drop for better COP (Coefficient of Performance).
Features and Benefits: Ideal Heating Flexible Hose 500mm
Fully Insulated Core: The 500mm length of insulation fully complies with thermal efficiency standards.
Vibration Buffer: Reduces vibrations and noise transmission from the heat pump though pipework.
28 mm High-Flow Bore: Keeps the flow and return circuits for the heat pump in line with the hydraulic requirements at the desired low temperature.
Fast Install: No tight 90 degree elbows for cramped areas due to the lack of cumbersome copper pipe bending and fittings.
Weatherproof: Designed for use externally from wall breakouts and the heat pump itself.
Need the Extended 750mm Version?
If you need more length, check out the Ideal Heating Flexible Hose 750mm alternative, featuring an additional 250mm and the same high-flow 28mm bore with vibration isolation and factory insulation.
Installer Tip
When it comes to fitting the Hose, the hose should not be bent or twisted during tightening. The minimum bend radius must be followed to avoid kinking the inner lining of the hose. Failure to do so will cause a flow restriction and lead to low flow error codes on the Logic Air unit. Once installed, leave a gentle curve to absorb the compressor start-up movement.
Fitting Checklist
Use Counter-Hold Keys: When tightening the hose fitting to the heat pump tails, use a second spanner on the hex flat as a counter hold, this will stop you from damaging any internal connections.
Continuous Insulation Barrier: Make sure the jacket butts sit flush with the insulation sleeves on the building wall. This will form a continuous thermal barrier and stop condensation from freezing over the course of winter defrost cycles.
Support Brackets: Rigid pipework must be fixed firmly to a wall just after the flexible hose to allow the hose to remain the only point for flexible movement for heat pump isolation.
