Ideal Halo Air Wi-Fi 1-Zone Programmable Room Thermostat 234790
The Ideal Halo Air Wi-Fi Programmable Room Thermostat is a smart thermostat designed for use with the Ideal Logic Air monobloc heat pump systems. It provides Wi-Fi connectivity for integration with smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
Halo gives you a large, high-resolution colour screen, with flexible 7-day programming for both heating and hot water, which makes this a state of the art control centre for users looking for the best efficiency out of their heat pump.
Features and Benefits: Ideal Halo Air Wi-Fi 234790
App & Smart Home Control: Connects to home Wi-Fi for access to set schedules, override rooms, geofence, and for use with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands.
Reliability Across Two Protocols: RF is used to connect to the heat pump, while Wi-Fi is reserved only for the remote app for reliable local control of your home's heating.
Modulating Load Compensation: Varies compressor output and flow temperatures to match internal thermal loss and keeps the heat pump working at the best level of efficiency at all times.
7-Day Heating & Hot Water Schedules: You can set up exact time and temperature profiles for space heating and domestic hot water, with up to 6 events per day.
Geofencing Energy Saver: When you’re not at home, you can use your smartphone's location services in the Halo App to adjust heating setpoints to lower levels automatically.
Prefer Simple Wireless Control Without Wi-Fi?
If you would much prefer a thermostat without having to install an app or sign up for any cloud services, take a look at the Ideal Halo Air RF 1-Zone Programmable Room Thermostat. Fundamentally it’s the same hardware inside, just with no internet connection needed for use.
Installation Checklist
RF Pairing Verification: Before mounting on the wall, pair the room unit with the Logic Air Smart Interface box using the 2.4 GHz pairing mode to verify the RF signal is strong enough. Once confirmed, then you can mount the room unit.
Temperature Strategy: Instead of switching the unit off, we recommend using a setback temperature of around 17°C–18°C during off-peak hours. Setting a low and stable temperature will be better for the system's overall Coefficient of Performance (COP).
Power Supply: Use fresh 1.5V AA Alkaline batteries from a reputable brand for installation to reduce drop outs and for a table Zigbee RF output.
Location & Sensor Placement
The Ideal Halo Air RF thermostat should be mounted around 1.2m to 1.5m above floor level, well away from direct sunlight, drafts, radiators, or close to doors near the outside of the house. Heat pump efficiency depends upon the thermostat's ability to read the temperatures of your living area accurately to keep flow temperatures steady and precise.
