The Arcotherm EC85 is an indirect oil fired space heater, which means that it allows only clean, fume-free warm air into the space that you need to heat. Therefore these heaters are safe to use for heating enclosed environments with little ventilation, such as halls, workshops and marquees.

The EC85 diesel heater can be wheeled into position outside the space that you need to heat. Flexible ducting is used to vent the warm air from the heater into the space you wish to heat. Meanwhile, any fumes produced during the diesel combustion process are expelled outside via the exhaust. This is the largest heater in Arcotherm’s EC range of indirect diesel heaters. It has become very popular in the events and marquee hire industries, for heating halls and marquees as well as other larger spaces for parties and events.

High Performance Heating

A large, robust and effective indirect diesel heater

This industrial indirect diesel heater has an 81kw heating capacity and an airflow rate of 4300m³ / hr. It has a range of high quality components, including an automatic built in oil burner and a Danfoss pump, robust 105L fuel tank, AISI 430 stainless steel combustion chamber, electronic flame control, safety thermostat and electronic control panel. The EC85 indirect diesel space heater is mounted on a set of strong wheels with a handle bar, which allow it to be moved around and placed into position easily.

This industrial heater can be used with up to 7.6m of ducting, to duct the warm air into the space, and provide heat to specific areas further away from the heater. You can also fit a 2-way splitter to the Arcotherm EC85 heater, which allows you to connect two sections of ducting to the one heater - so you can heat two separate areas at once! It can be used with an optional thermostat on a 10m cable, to control the temperature within the space you wish to heat.

We now offer recirculation kits that you can add as an additonal extra. These kits allow you vent previously warmed air back into the combustion chamber by attaching an adapter and ducting to the air inlet. Recycling air allows your heater to work more efficiently, reducing fuel consumption and costs by up to 60%.

Heavy Duty Version Available

Ideal for the most demanding applications

The heavy duty (HD) version of the EC85 heater is also available. These units are designed for use in harsher, more demanding environments, such as construction sites, building sites and new property developments. EC85 HD indirect fired diesel heaters have a larger 135 litre fuel tank, which offers a continuous operating time of over 18 hours in the manual position. EC85 HD heaters come complete with a Tigerloop kit, allowing connection to an external tank if needed. You can select the HD version using the drop down menu above.

100% Clean Warm Air: The heater blows out 100% clean, fume-free warm air from its warm air outlet, so it is safe for heating indoor and poorly ventilated spaces.

Ducting Connection: Lengths of ducting can be attached to this heater, in order to direct the clean warm air into the space that you need to heat.

Thermostat Connectivity: An optional thermostat can be connected to this heater, allowing you to set a required temperature within the space. The thermostat will switch the heater on and off as required in order to maintain the set temperature. This saves fuel and adds extra convenience.

Flue Exhaust: Combustion by-products are exhausted out of the top of the heater. Sections of flue pipe are available separately, allowing you to safely vent exhaust fumes away from the space.
