The Herschel IRP4 is a tough, robust and effective 3.2kW infrared heater, designed for use in industrial and commercial spaces such as workshops, warehouses, garages and more. These units are designed to be fixed to a ceiling, to provide a fast and reliable source of heating when needed during cold spells. These electric infrared heaters heat up people, objects and surfaces up to a range of 12 - 21m2. The principle of radiant infrared heating isn’t just significantly more efficient than air circulation heating, but it is often more effective and, as it is completely silent, it can be applied to a much broader spectrum of areas as well.

As the Herschel IRP4 is an electric infrared heater, it requires no fossil fuel supply in order to operate it - simply wire it in and it is ready to go! This also means that it produces no harmful emissions that need to be ducted away. These heaters run completely silently - so you can keep warm without being disturbed, and they produce no bright, irritating lights. These benefits make Herschel IRP4 infrared heaters extremely practical and convenient, as well as highly effective, industrial heaters.

Herschel Control System Available

Manage your environment to your exact needs

Herschel have an innovative and easy to use control system available for their infrared heaters. For heaters over 2kW, such as the IRP4, the Herschel MD2 Wired Thermostat can be used to control the heater’s functions exactly to your requirements. The thermostat unit is wired directly to the mains circuit and to the heater(s) that you wish to operate. Recessed into the wall, it provides a convenient and effective way of managing the settings of your Herschel heating solution. These thermostat can be set up with a 7 day heating programme and it will automatically turn the heater(s) on if the room temperature is lower than the desired temperature, and turn them off again once the desired temperature has been reached.

The MD2 thermostat is easy to operate - it has a large digital touchscreen display and incorporates the latest EcoDesign energy-saving features including Herschel’s open window technology. This 16 amp thermostat allows up to 3.6 kW of Herschel heaters to be connected. If the wired system is not convenient for you, you can use Herschel’s T-R2 Receivers and T-T2 Wireless Thermostat along with contact relays. For continuous load the installer may need to assume less than the full amp rating but this should be assessed individually according to your site requirements.

Please note: These units should be mounted to a ceiling 2.5m – 3m from the ground, minimum of 125mm from the ceiling above and minimum of 1.5m from the nearest wall.
