Do small dehumidifiers help prevent mould?

Yes, dehumidifiers help to prevent mould as mould requires humidity above 55% to begin to grow. Dehumidifiers do not remove already established mould, however they do prevent new mould from growing by removing the conditions needed for it to grow.

Are small dehumidifiers suitable for workplaces? 

Any room that may suffer with increased humidity would benefit from a dehumidifier. Many office spaces use a dehumidifier to reduce condensation and humidity in order to prevent damage to items and ensure employees do not suffer from any consequences of excess moisture in the air. 

How often does the water tank need changing?

This is dependent on the capacity and humidity levels. In high-moisture environments the tank may need emptying daily, whilst in moderate conditions it may last several days without changing. Some models also allow for continuous drainage via a hose pump.
