As the Herschel Pulsar is an electric infrared heater, you simply need to install it overhead, connect it to an electricity supply, and it is ready to go! It produces no harmful emissions that need to be ducted away and it has no moving parts that need to be maintained or serviced. These heaters run completely silently - so you can keep warm without being disturbed - and they produce no irritating bright light. This means that these units are extremely practical, convenient and effective heaters.
Herschel Control Systems Available
Everything you need to control your environment
Herschel have innovative and easy to use control systems available for their infrared heaters. For heaters up to 2kW, such as the Pulsar 1800w, you can use Herschel's T-R2 Receiver and T-T2 Wireless Thermostat Package. The Herschel T-R2 receiver is wired into the mains electricity supply and also to the Herschel heater you wish to control. It features a simple on / off switch, a 1 hour boost function, a temperature sensor and the latest open window technology. The Herschel T-T2 wireless thermostat connects to the receiver via wifi and allows you to control the heater(s) remotely, from anywhere within the space.
For heaters over 2kW, such as the Pulsar 2500w, the Herschel MD2 Wired Thermostat can be used to control the heater’s functions. This thermostat is wired directly to the mains circuit and to the heater(s) that you wish to operate. Recessed into the wall, it provides a convenient and effective way of managing the heater settings. If the wired system is not convenient for you, you can use Herschel’s T-R2 Receivers and T-T2 Wireless Thermostat along with contact relays. For continuous load the installer may need to assume less than the full amp rating but this should be assessed individually according to your site requirements. Both thermostats feature 7 day programmable heating controls, as well as immediate temperature control, so you can adjust the heater settings as needed. There are two Herschel Pulsar models available. The white Pulsar is 1800W and will heat an enclosed indoor area of 8 – 15m2 from a height of up to 2.5m. The Black pulsar is 2400W and will heat enclosed indoor areas of 12-20m2 from a height of up to 2.8m. (These areas are a guideline only and will be impacted by airflow and ambient temperatures. Dependent upon the property age/type, insulation levels and levels of airflow present, the number of heaters required and running times will vary).
