The Baxi HP40 8kW Monobloc Air Source Heat Pump provides homes with a sustainable source of heating and hot water. Backed by over 150 years of Baxi’s British manufacturing history, this 8kW model gives you more power than the smaller 4kW or 5kW units, making it ideal for larger sized family homes.
Heat pumps work by drawing out geothermal heat from the atmospheric air to be used for heating your home, outperforming conventional fossil fuel boilers on both costs and their environmental impact. We recommend that all heat pumps are correctly sized by an MCS-certified fitter to calculate heat needs that conform to BS EN 12831 regulations.

Hot Water Cylinder
The HP40 can be paired with the Baxi ASHP cylinder for providing homes with domestic hot water (DHW). These cylinders feature large internal coils that rapidly heat water to be used for your everyday hot water needs such as showering. Obviously, no cylinder is required if the heat pump is there only to provide your home with central heating.
Depending on how household occupancy and daily hot water demands, we recommend a 210L to 300L cylinder for the 8kW model.
