The Baxi HP40 5kW Monobloc Air Source Heat Pump is a low-carbon alternative to supplying homes with hot water and heating. Replacing fossil-fuel boilers, they work by drawing out the free heat from the air outside and transferring it to radiators and hot water systems. This not only lowers the money spent on household bills, but also reduces your carbon footprint compared to an old gas boiler.

This 5kW model is the same size as the 4kW version, but features extra heating power without the need for any additional outdoor space for installation. We recommend you have a MCS-certified fitter carry out a heat-loss calculation to BS EN 12831 standards before sizing your unit.

To get the best results when heating water, we recommend pairing the 5kW HP40 with Baxi’s range of hot water cylinders that boost heating efficiency during the winter. Depending on how much hot water you generally use, Baxi recommends a hot water tank between 100 and 250 litres for this model.
