Direct Oil Fired Space Heaters For Fast and Efficient Heat
Direct fired space heaters provide a cost effective way of heating outdoor and well ventilated spaces. Mostly used in industrial settings, these heaters work by passing air through an open flame which quickly warms the area. Direct fired diesel space heaters are capable of handling large amounts of air 100% efficiently, however due to the burning of fuel, they produce fumes and moisture. As a result, a direct oil fired heater can never be used in enclosed, poorly ventilated spaces.
These heaters are best used in large spaces with great ventilation. They are often used in warehouses, factories, garages, construction sites, hangars and material yards providing there is enough ventilation. Direct space heaters are designed to be compact, lightweight and portable so they can be easily moved to provide heat across various sites and locations. Additionally, direct oil fired heaters can operate year-round and work effectively in winter months.
If you need to heat a poorly ventilated space quickly, indirect fired space heaters operate in the same way as indirect fired space heaters, but are set up outside the facility and have clean, warm air ducted inside to remove any risk. Direct Oil Fired Space Heater FAQs
Can I use a direct oil fired space heater inside?
It depends. An area needs to be large and very well ventilated for a direct oil fired space heater to be safe and effective. There are many alternatives to direct oil fired space heaters for inside spaces, however. Check out some of these alternatives in our selections of electric fan heaters, cabinet heaters or waste oil heaters.
What fuel does a direct oil fired heater use?
Many of the models we provide are diesel/paraffin fueled. We also have options available for kerosene, such as the Master B180 Direct Oil Fired Space Heater.
