ATEX Certified: The EXHEAT FCR Hazardous Area Convector Heater is a heater intended for use in explosive gas atmospheres (Group IIA, IIB, IIC).
Up To 3kW Heating Capacity: The EXHEAT FCR unit offers three options in terms of heating power. The convector heater produces great heating power for hazardous environments where conditions can be extreme. Applications include, but are not limited to, aircraft hangers, explosive stores and petrochemical plants.
Robust Steel Construction: The unit features an integral and heavy-duty mild steel terminal enclosure finished in a powder coat, which gives it an IP67 rating. It has the highest level of dust protection and can withstand temporary submersion of less than 1 metre in depth.
Corrosion Resistance: The convector heater is constructed with grey gloss powder-coated sheet steel. Highlighting a simple yet elegant design not only adds aesthetic appeal but also protects the unit from corrosion damage caused by moisture and other environmental factors.
Flexible Temperature Range: The EXHEAT convector heater operates effectively from -60°C to +40°C, which is suitable for use in a variety of environments, including industrial settings where extreme temperatures are common.
Floor/Wall Mounting: The FCR heater can be mounted on a floor or a wall. Brackets and feet are provided for both options, allowing for versatile installation.
High-Quality Element: Its durable Incoloy 800 finned elements is made from a high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloy known for its excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and high-temperature corrosion. They are designed to provide efficient heat transfer and long-lasting performance at elevated temperatures.
Considerate Design: Equipped with a sloped top, the heater prevents users from placing different objects on the grill surface, preventing accidental burns and ensuring safety. Its small footprint also occupies a minimal amount of floor space. Heating in hazardous areas is a breeze, as you can position it anywhere you want for the best performance.
Optional Thermostat: An integrated, externally adjustable thermostat is available as an option for room temperature control.
The EXHEAT FCR Hazardous Area Convector Heater is specifically engineered and certified for heating spaces in hazardous areas. It is suitable for use in Hazardous Area Zones 1 and 2, which consist of explosive gases in Groups IIA, IIB and IIC. With a heating capacity of up to 3kW, the EXHEAT FCR unit provides three heating power options. This convector heater is exceptionally efficient and suitable for challenging and hazardous environments where conditions can be extreme.
The convector heater boasts a sturdy steel construction, with its integral terminal enclosure made of powder-coated, durable mild steel. Featuring an IP67 rating, it offers the highest level of protection against dust and ensures the unit's ability to endure temporary submersion of less than 1 metre in depth. To enhance its durability, the sheet steel of the heater is coated with a corrosion-resistant powder coat, featuring a subtle yet elegant grey gloss colour scheme. This coating not only adds aesthetic appeal but also safeguards the unit from potential damage caused by moisture and other environmental elements.
The EXHEAT convector heater functions effectively within a wide temperature range of -60°C to +40°C. This highly adaptable temperature range makes it suitable for diverse environments, such as industrial settings where extreme temperatures are frequently encountered. It carries a T3 temperature rating, ensuring that the maximum surface temperature of the FCR unit does not surpass 200°C. Therefore, the heater is appropriate for use in environments where flammable substances have ignition temperatures higher than the equipment's maximum surface temperature.
To enhance user convenience, the FCR heater provides options for 110v, 240v and dual voltage (240v/415v), allowing for flexible installation with diverse electrical systems. The availability of both single-phase and three-phase power supply options provides installation flexibility and guarantees compatibility. With its sloped top, the heater is designed to discourage users from placing items on the grill surface, thus reducing the risk of accidental burns and promoting safety. Its compact size also takes up very little floor space. When it comes to heating potentially explosive environments, the heater offers flexibility by allowing you to position it anywhere for optimal performance.
To ensure proper installation, the FCR heater should be mounted horizontally, either on a floor or a wall. Brackets and support feet are supplied as standard equipment for mounting purposes. You have the choice to add an integrated external adjustable thermostat as an optional feature, allowing you to control the room temperature.
