ATEX Certified: The EXHEAT FAW-C Hazardous Area Compact Air Warmer is an air warmer intended for use in explosive gas atmospheres (Group IIA, IIB, IIC). It is suitable for use in Hazardous Area Zones 1 and 2.
Up To 1kW Heating Capacity: The EXHEAT FAW-C unit offers four options in terms of heating power. The compact air warmer produces great heating power for hazardous environments where conditions can be extreme. Applications include, but are not limited to, aircraft hanger service bays, battery stores, chemical plants, deluge cabinets and dusty environments.
Robust Steel Construction: The unit features a lightweight steel enclosure, which gives it an IP67 rating. It has the highest level of dust protection and can withstand temporary submersion of less than 1 metre in depth.
Corrosion Resistance: The compact air warmer is constructed with 316L stainless steel, which has excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides and other aggressive environments. It also protects the unit from damage caused by moisture and other environmental factors.
Extremely Flexible Temperature Range: The EXHEAT air warmer operates from -60°C to +40°C, which is suitable for use in a variety of environments, including industrial settings where extreme temperatures are common.
T3 Temperature Rating: With a T3 rating, the maximum surface temperature of the FAW-C unit will not exceed 200°C, which suggests that it is suitable for use in environments with flammable substances that have ignition temperatures higher than the maximum surface temperature of the equipment.
Floor/Wall Mounting: The FAW-C heater needs to be mounted in a horizontal position on a floor or wall, allowing free airflow around the unit. It comes with pre-drilled support feet as part of the standard equipment.
Variable Voltage: There are 110v, 240v and 254v (only for 1kW model) options available for the unit. This allows for flexibility in installation and ensures compatibility with different electrical systems.
