ATEX Certified: The EXHEAT FWD-T Flameproof Air Warmer is an air warmer intended for use in explosive gas atmospheres (Group IIA, IIB, IIC) and dust atmospheres (Group IIIA, IIIB, IIIC). It is flameproof and suitable for use in Hazardous Area Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
Up To 2kW Heating Capacity: The EXHEAT FWD-T unit offers four options in terms of heating power. The flameproof air warmer produces an outstanding amount of heating power for hazardous environments where conditions can be extreme. Applications include, but are not limited to, aircraft hanger service bays, biogas plants, chemical plants, explosive stores and dusty environments.
Practical & Efficient Control: The air warmer boasts an externally adjustable thermostat for room temperature control from 0°C to 25°C, ensuring optimal comfort for workers in any environment.
Robust Steel Construction: The unit features powder-coated mild steel construction, which gives it an IP66 rating. It can withstand powered water jets coming from all sides and has the highest level of dust protection.
Corrosion Resistance: The air warmer is finished with a layer of corrosion-resistant powder coat. Highlighting an orange and grey colour combination not only adds aesthetic appeal but also protects the unit from damage caused by moisture and other environmental factors.
Extremely Flexible Temperature Range: The EXHEAT air warmer operates from -60°C to +40°C, which is suitable for use in a variety of environments, including industrial settings where extreme temperatures are common.
T3 Temperature Rating: With a T3 rating, the maximum surface temperature of the FWD-T unit will not exceed 200°C, which suggests that it is suitable for use in environments with flammable substances that have ignition temperatures higher than the maximum surface temperature of the equipment.
Floor/Wall Mounting: The FWD-T heater needs to be mounted in a horizontal position on a floor or wall, allowing free airflow around the unit. It comes with pre-drilled support feet as part of the standard equipment.
Variable Voltage: There are 240v and 110v options available for the unit. This allows for flexibility in installation and ensures compatibility with different electrical systems.
Rotatable Terminal Box: The terminal box of the FWD-T may be rotated to different orientations or positions for ease of alignment, providing more flexibility to accommodate various installation requirements.

It can also be used in Hazardous Area Zones 21 and 22, which involve explosive dusts in Groups IIIA, IIIB and IIIC.
