ATEX Certified: The EXHEAT FLR Flameproof Liquid Filled Radiator is a radiator intended for use in explosive gas atmospheres (Group IIA, IIB, IIC) and dust atmospheres (Group IIIA, IIIB, IIIC). It is flameproof and suitable for use in Hazardous Area Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
Up To 3kW Heating Capacity: The EXHEAT FLR unit offers three options in terms of heating power. The liquid filled radiator produces great heating power for hazardous environments where conditions can be extreme. Applications include, but are not limited to, ammunition depots, chemical plant warehouses and dusty environments.
Flexible Temperature Range: The EXHEAT radiator operates effectively from -20°C to +40°C, which is suitable for use in a variety of environments, including industrial settings where extreme temperatures are common.
Robust Steel Construction: The unit features a cast aluminium enclosure finished in orange and grey, which gives it an IP6X rating. It has the highest level of protection against dust.
Corrosion Resistance: The flameproof radiator is constructed with white powder-coated pressed steel. Highlighting a simple yet elegant design not only adds aesthetic appeal but also protects the unit from corrosion damage caused by moisture and other environmental factors.
Excellent Heating Effect: Filled with a water and glycol mix, the radiator provides excellent heating performance with better freeze protection, an elevated boiling point, enhanced heat transfer and corrosion prevention. Its high thermal conductivity ensures that heat is distributed evenly throughout the room, providing a comfortable and cosy environment.
High-Quality Element: Its durable 321 stainless steel rod-type element comprises a top-quality resistance wire composed of 80/20 nickel chrome, which is tightly packed within an insulating powder made of magnesium oxide. This ensures that the element heats up quickly and efficiently, while also being able to withstand high temperatures and prolonged use.
Low Surface Temperature: Featuring a temperature rating of T6, the unit's surface temperature never exceeds 80°C with its automatic over-temperature cut-out. It suggests that it is suitable for use in environments with flammable substances that have ignition temperatures higher than the maximum surface temperature of the equipment. A manual reset is needed afterwards.
Floor Mounting: The FLR heater can be mounted on a floor with its welded-on feet. It also comes with wall retention brackets for better support for the unit.
Optional Thermostat: An integrated external adjustable thermostat is available as an option for room temperature control from 0°C to 25°C.
The EXHEAT FLR Flameproof Liquid Filled Radiator is specifically engineered and certified for heating spaces in hazardous areas. It is suitable for use in Hazardous Area Zones 1 and 2, which consist of explosive gases in Groups IIA, IIB and IIC. It can also be used in Hazardous Area Zones 21 and 22, which involve explosive dusts in Groups IIIA, IIIB and IIIC.
With a heating capacity of up to 3kW, the EXHEAT FLR unit provides three heating power options. This radiator is exceptionally efficient and suitable for challenging and hazardous environments where conditions can be extreme. Applications include but are not limited to the following:
